Life in the Whirlwind!
Wow! Has it been busy since I last blogged! We had to come home from Florida early to sell our Wisconsin home. That meant packing up, selling, giving away years and years of accumlation of stuff! My poor hubby had the toughest time because he really liked his stuff! I was very proud of him, though, as he let go of things that identified him to many people! We are now temporarily somewhat “homeless” in the sense that we have no up north home of our own and will wait til the end of September to return to our Florida home. I will tell you, this is an adventure and I am really excited to see where it takes us!!
One more major event before this whirlwind settles down-I head for Haiti on a Missions trip in just a few days!! I have been working on the lesson I am to teach to the children we will be ministering to with a Vacation Bible School. My lesson is on Zacchaeus and the truth from God’s Word found in Luke 19:10 “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost”!! That was me up until age 14-I was lost in my sins, but, God in His grace, found me and I chose to believe that Jesus died an undeserved death and rose from the dead to pay the price for my sin. Maybe you are still lost in your sin! If so, blog me and let’s talk about it!!
More on the Haiti trip! I am going with a team of 10 and we will be doing VBS in the afternoons and painting and sanding in an orphanage in the mornings. Plus, I hope to teach a lesson or two to women while I am there! I will keep you updated on this blog!! Please pray for me!!!
